After a couple days of long drives the weekend was coming to an end. Dad had a number of meetings the next couple of days and would not be easy to take those calls from a moving RV. So we decided to hold up at an RV resort in Utah. We found a nice spot near Park City, enabling us to explore that town. We stayed at the Mountain Valley RV resort in Heber City, Utah.

We selected this location (instead of the Park City RV resort) as it had more amenities and received really good reviews. Looking at the map it also seemed likely as close to Park City as the one "in" Park City. The kid was super excited about having a pool and other fun activities.

This RV park was far and away the nicest one we stayed at during the trip. Even came with a welcome packet...LOL!

We arrived around 10PM and were escorted to our spot. Like all RV parks, you're super close to other guests, but we had a nice grassy area off the back of the RV and a clean picnic table on grass along the side. The park has restrictions on how old the RV can be...interesting. The spot was perfectly level and had all the hookups one could want including 85 channels on cable. We were also able to lock the electrical box which is nice, the one in Reston, Va wasn't lockable. We have the surge protector, which I'd hate to see go missing...

The park also had well functioning WiFi. They have a 3MB free option and a 15MB paid option as well. We used the 3MB free option and was very satisfied with how well it worked. Dad was able to use it for all his work needs...although he did take video conference calls through the MiFi just to be extra secure...we know, odd duck. We also took advantage of the on-site laundry facilities. We like to wash clothes every now and again just to move the dirty clothes hamper. We don't have a perfect system for those clothes yet, so they can get in the way from time-to-time as they pile up. Below is Coco waiting for Mom to return for laundry and basketball with the kid.

The kid had fun playing basketball, pickle ball and swimming for 2 days straight. He had a blast. He also made some local friends (Conner, Emma and Braden) and they played together, ate together and had a grand 'ole time. On the basketball court, he played 7 on the line and around the world. One night dad went out to play with him but didn't get the chance as he was having so much fun playing with his crew. The kid wanted to stay longer and continue to play with his new friends...but it was time to get on the road again and see what was next for us.

We ended up enjoying the relaxing pace of the all-inclusive RV resort that we never actually made it to Park City proper. We had grand plans of seeing the town but enjoyed the down time of the RV park.
